How Awards Box Made Award-Winning Films and Shows Easy to Discover

Great films were hiding in plain sight

Award data is scattered across festival sites, academy archives, and encyclopedias. A viewer who wanted to watch past Oscar, Cannes, or BAFTA winners had to piece lists together by hand.

Streaming catalogs are built for what is new, not what is acclaimed. Award-winning titles, and the people behind them, were hard to find and even harder to filter.

The founders needed a fast, reliable engine that could combine large film datasets, stay current as each awards season ends, and run smoothly on the web and mobile.

AI-Powered Awards Discovery Engine

Impleko AI built the data pipeline, search, and curation engine behind Awards Box. The system now handles:

• Ingesting and matching film and TV data from TMDB and Wikipedia with award results from the Academy Awards, Emmys, Cannes, BAFTA, and the Berlin International Film Festival.
• AI-assisted curation that groups winners into browsable collections such as Oscar winners or Emmy-winning series by decade.
• Fast search across movies, shows, actors, directors, writers, and editors.
• Personal favorites, watchlists, and a Seen It list, plus a Where to Watch feature that points viewers to streaming platforms.
• Native iOS and Android apps, a blog, and a weekly newsletter.

The architecture is performance first, so carousels and search results load quickly even as the catalog grows with every awards season.

Turning award history into a watchlist

Awards Box became a single destination for acclaimed entertainment.

• Viewers can browse decades of winners from five major award bodies in seconds.
• One search covers both titles and the talent behind them.
• The experience is consistent across web, iOS, and Android.
• Emerging creators gain a stage to showcase their projects to engaged film fans.

What used to take an afternoon of research now takes a single tap.
